Pink Intrigue: 2017 Update

Happy New Year, belated still, but Happy New Year none the less. We have been gone for a while, but with good reason. Many changes have taken place in the Pink Intrigue camp, and we will be back mid 2017 with some awesome new stuff for the Pink Intrigue brand. We won't say too much here, but we do want you to know that just because we are not posting, does not mean that we are not creating. We learned a whole multitude of things in 2016, and in 2017 we plan on taking things to the next level. But we really don't want to talk too much, we just wanted to check in and let you know that we are here. Stay tuned, and in the meantime, follow our Pink Intrigue lifestyle page on Instagram. Hey, since this blog is about creativity, we are captivated by it, we live by it, it is our bread and butter. Why not write a blog post about how to write 10,000 words a day? I started writing 10,000 words a day a couple of years ago. Then I stopped, I just became victim to my own limiting beliefs, I basically started to think I was doing too much.

Hey guys it's been a while, I did not manage to complete the 30-day colour Focus challenge. Due to various factors that I will not go into right now. I'm currently dictating this post instead of hand typing, due to a hand injury  I acquired by no fault of my own.

Shout into the void

Today's mixed media piece is a self portrait, taken with a Canon 550d camera. We printed the portrait out and added paint effects, we then scanned it. We created this piece in the midst of writing a very heartfelt poem about falling in love, the dark side of love, that side of love that leaves you breathless. Feeling vulnerable, feeling like the world as you know it is over. That side of love that leaves you feeling lost in an unknown world, maybe its not love, maybe its obsession, infatuation, need, rather than want. Greed, rather than generosity, maybe its just another one of those feelings, unfathomable.  Consumed.
